	A Short History of the NAVY FCU Since its inception in 1947 the NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION has been serving it's members in and around the Merrifield, Virginia area with exceptional financial products. Currently led by James Dawson, the NAVY FCU has grown it's membership to over 3,258,000 with assets of more than $2,147,483,000. They have 6,441 of full time employees and 575 part time employees with a main office and 174 branch offices. The NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION offers it's members a full service website that allows for true "Banking From Home" functionality. Users have the ability to apply for loans, get account balance and history reports, transfer money between accounts, make bill payments, and so much more.
